The Buckeye Division recognizes individuals dedicated to and serving the Buckeye Division by presenting them with The Howard Smith Award. Specifically, it goes to a person who has assisted the Superintendent, directly or simply during their Buckeye Division activities, in a way that improves or maintains the Buckeye Division’s operation or provides non-operational benefits to the Buckeye Division.
Some examples are Darrell Logan for his printing donations and outsized contribution to membership growth via his basement brotherhood, Butch Sage for his efforts in re-writing the regulations and design and delivery of our new banner (and more since), and Jim Borcz for keeping our financial records straight.
